Advanced Valve Technologies
23rd November 2015
Overview
This 3 day workshop is covers a comprehensive content regarding valve technologies for the oil and gas/petrochemical industry. Valve sizing and selection and issues concerning design of valve pressure will be discussed in great detail. Essential topics such as valve technologies such as sealing performance and leakage classifications as well as the various types of block and check valve types will be discussed. Valve isolation, which is an important topic for maintenance and safety personnel is reviewed. Commonly used valve types, namely relief and control valves, as well as valve actuators and their common cause of failures will be elaborated on. You will also learn testing and troubleshooting of valves to ensure efficient maintenance and safety onsite.
Benefits of Attending
- DEMONSTRATE and APPLY good working knowledge on the selection, design, inspection and troubleshooting of valves
- LEARN valve pressure designs and problems associated to carry out effective troubleshooting
- GAIN knowledge on valve isolation to improve on safety while carrying out maintenance work
- DISCUSS the common causes of failures in valve actuators and their conversion and stored energy methods
- ADOPT risk based testing to increase the level of efficiency and pin-point problems before using it proper
- ESTABLISH a high level of safety and in-depth awareness of sealing technology and valve testing
