About this Training Course

This course presents an overview of common damage mechanisms that affect fixed equipments in refineries and process industries. Understanding damage mechanisms is important for corrosion control, mitigation, prevention and for performing fitness for service assessments. This knowledge also helps in maintaining effective risk-based inspection (RBI) programmes.

On completion of this course participants will be able to do the following:
Describe common damage mechanisms, identify the units where commonly seen, affected materials, inspection and
mitigation strategies.
