Overview

This course will be covering the theoritical sets of knowledge to make delegates understand designing of vertical & highly deviated drill strings. It will be something different than normal course because it will highlight the effects of designing during drill string operations.

There will be few parts of discussion in this course, such as the design and combination of drill string components, the components ration of bending and stiffness, problems & solutions faced in-case of string vibrations. And, there will be also discussion on the back-off theory for vertical & deviated wells.

On top of that, delegates are required to practice hands-on exercises and examples using calculations to reach optimum result for designing. Why this has to be done is to avoid risks and challenges faced during the designing and of course during operations.

NOTE: Delegates are required to bring their own CALCULATOR.
