This is a drilling completion training course. The drilling and CWI discipline is a very specialized field, with a lot of unique and dedicated equipment. The technology is difficult to understand as it happens underground and can only be imagined. For young, new and/or staff from support departments there is a lot value added to have an introduction to and get better background understanding of the technologies.
Who Should Attend
Personnel directly responsible and or involved in Drilling and Intervention operations or about to be involved after having completed pre-study can attend this drilling completion training. Similarly for personnel in support function for the drilling and intervention operations, like HSE, Finance, Production of HR staff.
Key Learning Objectives
- Understanding the drilling process, its risks, difficulties and terminology
- Understanding the Well Intervention process, why it needs to be performed, risk, terminology, difficulties and effects on Unit Technical Cost
- Understand the drilling process
- Understand the terminology used, names of material and equipment
- Understand the need and requirement of WRM, cost of regrets, economics of intervention
- Understand the terminology used, names of material and equipment
- Discuss well design and construction to create a “integer” well with lowest Unit Technical Cost
- Develop sufficient understanding of the full selection process of a well, the design, complication during construction
- Develop the need for Well and Reservoir Maintenance (WRM) in design and execution
- Appreciate the planning and execution of drilling wells and well interventions
