Intensive Trainings

Why Choose this Training Course
This is a 3-day LNG Loading Master training course, both in-person and virtual in Singapore and Malaysia. The Loading Master is responsible for safe and smooth cargo operations. He is in charge of the so-called ship/shore interface. To be a trained loading master Opus Kinetic developed this comprehensive training program which prepares the Loading Master for his role in handling LNG.
Opus Kinetic is also a proud member of Energy Institute Singapore as we constantly research on the latest trends in the energy industry.
Who Should Attend
Anyone interested in learning more about the LNG Ship/Shore Interface, Terminal Operators, LNG operations supervisors, Jetty Personnel, Loading Masters, Port Authorities, Port Supervisors, Customs Officials.
Key Learning Objectives
To work as a Loading Master, one has to have the operational knowledge, the technical skill and has to understand the LNG ship/shore Interface. This training is designed to train and certify those who are working in LNG Marine Terminals, FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Barges or Vessels and in management of LNG facilities). This training will assist LNG terminal operators in achieving a competitive advantage by having an effective and well managed operation. The course was created for the LNG mid and downstream supply chain and LNG industry managers.
- Fundamentals of LNG Shipping and Storage: Understanding the importance of liquefying natural gas, cryogenic temperature effects, and the prioritization of safety in LNG operations
- Operational Procedures and Safety Compliance: Learning the critical steps in LNG loading and discharging, the role of a Loading Master, and the importance of adhering to international safety regulations (ISGOTT, SIGTTO, ISPS)
- Risk Management and Emergency Preparedness: Identifying operational risks such as LNG leaks, cargo sloshing, and mooring hazards, while understanding emergency shutdown systems (ESD1 & ESD2) and ship-shore communication protocols
- Custody Transfer and Commercial Considerations: Gaining knowledge of LNG custody transfer principles, Bill of Lading, quality and quantity measurement, and key commercial aspects like the “Take or Pay” principle and “Off-Spec” cargo handling
- Real-World Applications and Best Practices: Applying theoretical knowledge through interactive ship handling simulations, case studies on LNG import terminals in Japan, and reviewing best practices to ensure efficiency and safety in LNG operations
