Process Safety Essentials

May 21 - May 24

process safety training

Why Choose this Training Course

This is a 4-days process safety training. The term Process Safety is used to describe events that cause multiple fatalities, severe environmental impact and major business disruption. These events are thankfully rare, but high-hazard industry sectors are always at risk of these terrible outcomes.

These disasters are sometimes referred to as major accidents or high-consequence events.  The process safety training course explores events that have happened to others and shows delegates the tools and technical methodologies to prevent and manage major accident events. The course provides delegates with the opportunity to make improvements back at the workplace.

The facilitators deliver a course based on social learning. This means that delegates are encouraged to interact with each other in groups. A safe environment is created where questioning and challenge is used to develop critical thinking skills in relation to prevention and management of major accidental events. The learning process encourages relationship-building skills that cannot be replicated in online training.

This process safety training course is structured to transfer key knowledge on process safety but is not didactic. It is very much delegate-centred learning, i.e. where is the delegate now and where does he/she want to be.

The trainers do this in a highly practical and interactive way, using case studies and exercises that build on proven best practices in this field.
