Traditionally, organizational leaders have only two ways to find people to meet the needs of their organizations: (1) promote from within the organization; or (2) recruit from outside the organization. External recruitment (sourcing people from outside the organization) is often favored over internal recruitment (which means relying on job posting, management nominations and other methods to find people from inside the organization), though both are ways to recruit qualified people to fill vacancies.

Right now, many organizations are adding to their staff as company leaders believe that global economic conditions are improving and will therefore lead to increased sales and growing demand for goods and services. For that reason, much interest exists globally to ramp up talent acquisition efforts to find the most productive people.

But what is talent acquisition? What is meant by the term strategic talent acquisition? How can organizational leaders most effectively source talented people from inside and outside their organizations? This talent acquisition training will address these questions and other important questions.
